He is willing to give it to me for my birthday, but I don't want it unless it can meet my needs. I basically just want to be able to run L4D2, TF2, CS:S all on high. Basically source engine games The computers specs: 250G Hard Drive 2G Ram 2.8ghz Intel Dual core(that's what it means when it says 2 CPU's, right?) Nvidia 7300 Geforce ( I can replace that easily. His computer wasn't made for gaming) Windows xP professional. Link to comment

Make sure the motherboard has a PCIe 2.0 16x port (for the graphics card), and the PSU has to be at least 450W if you want to upgrade your video card to something decent. My current rig: P4 HT 2.8 Ghz 2gb DDR RAM 80 gb IDE Hard drive 8X DVD-ROM ATI Radeon X1300 PRO (PRO means it has 256 mb of video ram bitch) Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 450 watt PSU At any rate even with the 7300 you'll be able to play all of those games mostly... When the new update hits for CSS soon, it will run better on that PC with a dual core since it will have multi-core support included in the new update.
