Me and her will be living in her parent's basement, its large and cozy. Anyways I have my computer set up in her basement and I'm connected to her Wireless G network. The router and modem are directly above me, but they are on the second floor so I'm two floors under the router. I pick up a good signal but I get lag spikes often, usually every 30-40 secs. I was contemplating buying her family a wireless N router and what not but I had someone recommend to me Powerline Networking. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833122243 Apparently you can hardline through wall outlets, which would work perfectly in my situation because her parents are hesitant with me drilling holes and running 100ft lines. I've heard mix reviews but there seems to be a lot of promising responses. I'm just concerned with its performance with gaming. Anyone hear of these? EDIT Holy shit I just realized I linked one that connects to a coaxl line. Thats freakin crazy Edited June 26, 2010 by Slavic Link to comment

KScorp Posted June 27, 2010 Content Count: 470 Joined: 04/04/10 Status: Offline Share Posted June 27, 2010 I was stuck using them at one point. I have used one to connect both my XBox and PC when I had no way to access my wireless router due to a bad wireless card. You won't be getting very fast speeds with them, and their performance can vary greatly depending on the wiring in your house. (I got very different speeds when either flipping the device around in the same plug, or switching which plug it's connected to.) However, I WAS able to connect and play on my XBox games just fine, as well as on my PC. Hopefully, you'll get the results you want if you go with this solution. Link to comment
