Lucid Posted June 29, 2010 Content Count: 2284 Joined: 09/27/09 Status: Offline Share Posted June 29, 2010 Is this a pretty decent computer for it's price? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147254 I'd just be using it for CS:S, L4D2, and TF2. Can this run them all on high? ( I don't really know all that much about computers) Basic overview: Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 630(2.8GHz) RAM- 6GB DDR3 HD- 1TB SATA Graphics Card-NVIDIA GeForce 9100 Graphics(can be replaced later) OS: Windows7 It doesn't specify a power supply, but I've got a decent one here. All for $489.99 I've been doing a few of these threads lately, but I just want to make sure if it will be a decent computer. Link to comment

The video card and power supply can be replaced later on. The thing about buying budget pre-built PC's is sometimes you have to sacrifice one hardware to have a different, better hardware, unless you're shelling out more money. This PC is more than Source engine ready plus more. Edited June 29, 2010 by EvilShadow98 Link to comment

CPU should pick up the slack the that OEM cards like the Gefore 9100 leave behind. 300W is ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but it's slighty possible you can do a replacement yourself in the future, it may seem hard but it's pretty much just reading the setup guide and matching the right components lol. I've got a 700W power supply I can put in there. An Athlon2 X4 is... a pretty underpowered CPU. I'm not exactly clear what you're saying here. Is it bad, or somewhat decent? I'm not looking for some super computer, I just want to be able to run these games on High. Edited June 30, 2010 by Lucid Link to comment

Toxin Posted June 30, 2010 Content Count: 2115 Joined: 05/06/08 Status: Offline Share Posted June 30, 2010 From a review: "I was initially planning on installing a new PCI-E graphics card into the system (since the one integrated is not so great); however, I later found out by calling HP customer support, that this computer does not support the installation of any sort of graphics card, what so ever. So for those of you who need that extra boost in graphics performance, do not buy this computer!!" Eh... no. What's your budget? Link to comment
Labarr Posted June 30, 2010 Content Count: 3052 Joined: 08/30/09 Status: Offline Share Posted June 30, 2010 with ANY pre built computer, trying to change the performance of it voids the warranty, therefore they will not help you.... and its goes for them all.. Link to comment
