How can you convert a .DEM file like the one that u get from typing record in console to something watchable, like a video on youtube? Link to comment

The other option is using Source Recorder, which will make an AVI out of all the frames playing in your game. The source recorder option is much higher quality, but may be a bit more difficult depending on how you use it.
