TY lactAse is probably what you want, if you're lactose intolerant then taking it in pill form is probably not a good idea. Getting a gut-full of the enzyme to break it down on the other hand would be a better idea. Also soy is Not A Good Thing, it processes into estrogens. Try almond milk, hemp protein, rice based products etc. My mother's violently reactive to ALL milk products, from lactose to isolated whey proteins, so I've gotten kinda used to working around dairy entirely in many recipes. As for finding things without cheese... stick to Kosher stuff. Either get it Meat or Parve and you're guaranteed not to get ANY dairy in it. Link to comment

If you squeeze a soy bean you get soybean oil. You need to be trying specifically to make a milk-like substitute as a unique product, thus Soy Milk. Link to comment

Spiritwind Posted July 13, 2010 Content Count: 1263 Joined: 02/07/10 Status: Offline Share Posted July 13, 2010 If you drink soy milk to bypass a lactose intolerance, how do you eat cheese? Americans put cheese on everything and this is just becoming problematic for myself. Aged milk products dont give me any trouble. Have you also tried lactate? Link to comment

LOL'ing Generally I'm okay with most cheese as long as it's in a small amount, but lately it's been making my stomach hurt. So IDK, I could try Lactase though. I don't drink milk at all, was just using it as a comparison. Mostly because I'm kind of a picky eater, and never having soy/almond/any other kind of milk, makes me hesitant to try if they'll just go to waste. Link to comment
