i know.. im just informing you thats how IE8 (the default version installed w/ w7) operates, and how mozilla's been working to make FF behave since then.

make no mistake, i don't claim that mozilla came up with any of these added features, im just glad they're part of my preferred browser now. like, the resizable text-boxes in any and all websites.. thats just fantastic.
