Also windows bit 64. When I try to startup, there appears that window with Preparing to launch Counter-Strike-Source... Nothing happens after. I tried reinstalling css, i downloaded direct x 9. I should have the latest drivers and such and any help would be appreciated. Edit: btw, every other game works fine like half-life2 and its episodes. Edited July 8, 2010 by mapper Link to comment

Pulse Posted July 8, 2010 Content Count: 93 Joined: 12/31/09 Status: Offline Share Posted July 8, 2010 I'm having a similar problem, I can start up CS but if I join a server as soon as the round starts (or shortly after my game crashes - "Half life 2.exe has stopped working" message pops up.) Maybe we have a similar problem, I assume it is linked to the updating but not sure. Link to comment

Also, there's know need to download direct x 9, i have the HD5750 which also supports direct x 11, also, are you SURE you have the newest drivers? You can find them on the AMD website. Also, what card did you have before? If it was nvidia I would seriously recommend uninstalling the nvidia drivers as it might be interfering with your card. Hope this help man! Link to comment
