De Jong should've been sent off for playing kung fu on Xabi Alonso , while Puyol should've been sent off for the challenge preformed on Robben. Webb later sent off Heitinga for tackling Iniesta. Replays showed that he took a dive after being merely touched by Heitinga. The worst part was Heitinga's first yellow card was a very soft one, and Iniesta made a tackle no less insulting than that of Heitinga's seconds later against Sneijder, only for Webb to give only the foul. But the highlight of Webb's performance was the goal that the Spaniards scored. Holland had a foul, Sneijder shot the ball, which hit the wall in one of the most obvious deflections in the World Cup, later to be saved by Casillas into a corner. Webb gave it as a goal kick, and it was unimaginable how someone would miss something so obvious. Seconds later, Elia was fouled by two Spaniards, Webb amazingly waved play on, while Spain played on and scored from Webb's mistakes. I don't know where they picked the referees for this world cup, but it was truly horrible. So many bad calls. Link to comment

It was a 2nd yellow because Iniesta was clean through on goal, not because of the severity of the challenge. But the highlight of Webb's performance was the goal that the Spaniards scored. Gotta love the reasons for Netherlands losing are = we didn't get a corner. I agree that Netherlands had some key decisions that didn't go their way, but the way they approached the game from the start negates any sympathy most people have. Bommel should of picked up his 2nd yellow for his repeated fouling, De Jong should of been off for the high challenge, Robben should of picked up a 2nd yellow for kicking the ball away. I do agree that Puyol should of picked up his 2nd yellow and been off for his attempt to bring Robben down. The fact Robben stayed on his feet rather than go down proved the difference here, whereas Iniesta went down after Heitingas contact. Link to comment
