Gfwl and Bioshock 2

I recently bought Bioshock 2 and after installing I began to play it. I used an old GFWL (Games for windows live) account and roughly played 20 minutes. I then wanted to try the multiplayer, which went through all the steps of downloading my offline profile and trying to make it an online one. Needless to say I got annoyed and just deleted every account and made a new offline account.

I played once again under this new offline GFWL account and rack up about 7 hours, here's the problem: I tried multiplayer again, but this time my old GFWL account worked and I got into the multiplayer. After that I wanted to go back and my offline account is gone, I sign in with the online account and my saves are gone. I know this sounds confusing but in summary:

OA = offline account

O = Online account

Used O --> Deleted it cause multiplayer didn't work --> created new OA --> played 7 hours on it, tried multiplayer again with O account --> Went back to single player and OA is gone.

Is there anyway I can get these saves to work? I've tried opening them with BS2.exe and the launcher but nothing. I really don't want to play through 7 hours again if I don't have to. Is there a way to by pass GFWL/Steam and just play my saves?

If that didn't work.. A temporary fix would try saving your saved game? If I understand this right.. The only thing that is happening is that your losing your offline saved game, after playing multiplayer. Now. before I post a link. if you saved it, kept your O account without deleting it? If not.. then yeah, try backing up using this .

Note: That takes you to a direct download. And I didn't recieve a virus. Also not sure if it works. But it don't hurt to try.

EDIT: I seen people whos save games are not there right as they sign off singleplayer.. I don't think this is your case.. is it?
