Look, we respect your opinion about metal, and Im not saying Lars Ulrich IS a good drummer.

 

But if you keep trolling every thread that mentions metal, Imma punch yo teeth in holmes.

 

i wasn't dissing metal there, i was dissing lars ulrich because i don't think he is good, i play drums and i can recognize a good drummer, it's a coincidence he plays metal, i also hate meg white if that helps...and i've only hated on metal once

virgil donati! the "supergroup" he's recently become a part of is kind of shit, but ive seen some of his solo stuff and its pretty sick.

 

also, Dirk Verbueren from Soilwork. that dude is pretty fucken sick. especially on soilworks new record!

 

mike portnoy and danney carey are also way up there. at the moment i just dont like their styles more than some others.

 

i LOVE metallica and always will but please stop mentioning lars. even if its to say he's not the best. thats obvious!

Danny Carey by far is one of the greatest technical drummers. The beats he designs are intricate and unique which makes him my favorite drummer.

Funny thing is, Metallica was never really talented instrument wise. Kirk would always cover up his fuck ups with distortions. James is mediocre on guitar. Lars has always been average on drums when he was younger and now sucks even more because he doesn't do double bass as much as before. They just knew how to create awesome music with what they had. The only real talented musicians they ever had is either in another band or dead.
