Okay, so recently, my friend gave me his old gaming PC that he used when he was away in the Marines and he built himself a whole new PC when he recently came back to the states. He gave me a PC that comes with an ASUS M2N-SLI ATX - nForce 560 SLI motherboard. The problem is that it came with a dual core (powerful one) processor and I would like to switch it out with the AMD Phenom quad-core that I have now. This PC has really good hardware in it, except for the mobo/cpu. I just want to know if this mobo supports a Phenom quad-core processor so I can do the swap. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it will, the CPU socket is AM2, and im sure you can get quad cores using that socket, but it says it only supports up to Duel Core.

Multi-Core Support: Dual-Core

Soz man, I don't think it will.

Alright. Thanks for your input. man. The dual-core is a AMD Athlon x64 3.0ghz processor. I am thinking of slapping both Geforce GTX 285's that my friend also gave me.

That should work perfectly fine, just make sure the CPU Socket is AM2!
