Doesn't increase the risk for lung cancer ftw! on the contrary, i happen to be a medic in the army and they teach us a few things about lung safety(they harp on it big time because of pt) but I still smoke anyway(which is why my run time sucks) but I did a little research on the matter myself. I use to smoke weed before i joined the army so I was curious about the side effects. while the article says it doesn't increase you chance for lung cancer is bullshit, because you are inhaling smoke. and that smoke damages your lungs and can cause cancer. You do have a lesser change of getting cancer if you smoke weed as opposed to cigarettes because of the lack of tar in the weed. All I'm saying if your gonna do it, fucking do it, don't let some health mumbo jumbo stop you from doing what makes ya happy. Link to comment

Chêvouÿx Posted July 28, 2010 Content Count: 1079 Joined: 04/21/08 Status: Offline Share Posted July 28, 2010 There are so many people around me who smoke (or have smoked) weed, especially my peers at school who don't do sports. I'm too much of a wuss to smoke weed because it's illegal, but if they legalize it, I'd probably smoke regularly just to loosen up when I'm stressed. I'd rather stay addicted to the high I get when running than a new addiction to marijuana, but that's also personal preference. If only people weren't so afraid of change... Link to comment

Then they will put nicotine in them to make them more addictive tar low grade carpet cleaner all the stuff they put in cigarettes in weed then sell em at the cornorstore. this might not happen in countries like mexico or uraguay but American corporations are far more ruthless and greedy and will not lose money to weed if they can help it Link to comment

I think by the statement they were comparing it to cigarettes because later they talk about boiling it to not inhale smoke. I dont know for sure but I bet its less destructive of you lungs.
