The opposite of a NIGHTMARE when we WELCOME TO THE FAMILY mike portney and we cross the DANGER LINE because our fallen brother is being BURIED ALIVE we will show the NATURAL BORN KILLER in us all because we are SO FAR AWAY from our loved ones and it feels like GOD HATES US and we are just another VICTIM while TONIGHT THE WORLD DIES and FICTION is becoming fact because ineed someone to SAVE ME from this NIGHTMARE because iv LOST IT ALL.

very good album in my opinion. ive been a dream theater fan for several years (the band that the temp replacement drummer plays for) and i was worried mike portnoy would overdo it with the fills like he sometimes does with dream theater, but he kept it pretty straightforward and Rev-like. still had some of his flair but his beats gelled well with the music.

i like their 2007 self titled album a lot but im glad this one doesn't sound as radio friendly. seeing them on tour in september, a week after creed.

That is because Mike Portnoy did not have a say on what to play on drums. He had to play what Rev was suppose to play. If Portnoy played like he does with DT, but in A7X, I don't think any future permanent drummer would be able to keep up. I think Portnoy was bored when playing their songs.
