Programming forum?

I just noticed that this fine community lacks a board for programming discussion. I wonder why one does not exist. My idea is to add one, since programming is a big topic in the computers now a days.

 

People should be able to ask question as well as provide snippets of code or just show off their work.

 

Okay, so this is more of a suggestion than a question, but I can't seem to find a forum for forum suggestions.

We have a tech talk section as well as modding sections. There shouldn't be a need for what you are suggesting IMO.

Tech talk is more about working with computers and other electronics, not programming them. Modding always seemed like a general discussion area about any projects you're working on. Not much of an in-depth programming area.

 

I think having a programming section would make a nice addition to the forum. Then people who are interested in the field would know when someone needs help or where to post when they need help themselves.

However, upon visiting those forums and reading the topics that are posted in them, I find that tech-talk is more hardware related, and that modding is directed only to CSS.

 

Although technically we could post programming discussions in tech talk; It would rather clutter the forum, so the cleaner alternative would be the addition of an extra forum.

I would want one, even though I have no clue about programming other people that do know would probably enjoy it.
