Video Card Update!?

Oke guys,,

 

Here's my problem (im not very good with TECH stuff btw) my videocard is crap ,, like real bad.. im thinking of a new video card but what is a good video card for games like Far cry 2 ,, Css on high resolution / (same for tf2, portal etc.) ...

 

I know have a:

 

Ati Radeon 9200 Series ... [ffs]

 

I can stil play games (NOT Far Cry2) but like when i want 2 play css i start it up go in a server then i see all stripes... then i have 2 push the button on my pc to put it out and then put it back on cause if i just reg. reboot it wont have any effect SO PLEASE STEAMGAMERS HELP ME OUT (xD got that from pimp my ride Lol)....

I'd recommend you one but I'm pretty sure during the time the Radeon 9200 aka R200 series chips were out PCI-E (which all modern video cards need to be inserted into) did not exist. That would mean you need a new motherboard.... and processor.... and power supply.............. and RAM.

Yep, I'm 99% sure he has an AGP card.. There are still *okay* 2005-2007 ATi cards that are AGP.

 

That's only if you don't have money at all to buy/build a new PC.

Well yea thnx for the help i was planning to buy a new pc but because of school i need to buy a freakin laptop so ,,, i dont like laptop and good gaming laptops aree way too expensive (i think).

So yeah i tought first a vid. card then save some money for a Gaming Pc (like complete new meaning: new Screen, mouse, mouse math, keyboard , speakers ... only not new headset LOGITECH RULEZ )

 

So yeah i just have to do it with this crappy pc untill i can buy a new pc !! o well .. css runs and thats important but it would have been better if i can see stuff clearly cause now my screen get blue tinted and then i have to smash it to get the colours back els i cant see red (DAMN LAZORS)...
