so i have this really old comp that i am about to throw away. I was wondering if there is anything useful in it that i can keep to upgrade my current comp.

both the graphics card and the PSU are useless. so just telling you that right now.

Dunno, I'd keep the PSU connectors and cables personally just for the sake of it. Other than that if none of it was recently upgraded then everything is defunct other then the fans lol.

wait, what can i do with the fans?

if its a working pc, dont throw it out, donate it to charity, schools get them either in your country or a third world country, obviously they "refurbish" them but it goes to a good cause, and if you have no use for it even more reason too.

If you do that then remember to either take the HDD out or use a utility to wipe the data. I would suggest you do at least 7 passes (NSA) with a data wiping utility just to make sure everything is gone.
