oreo Posted August 19, 2010 Content Count: 8 Joined: 05/29/09 Status: Offline Share Posted August 19, 2010 I myself have the 650w corsairs psu and have no problems with it. I was actually debating between that one and one by xfx which was basically a rebadged power & cooling silencer psu. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207002&cm_re=xfx_psu-_-17-207-002-_-Product Prob go with the corsair atm because of the rebate making it cheaper. Just throwing the xfx power supply into the mix. Link to comment

jazzy Posted August 19, 2010 Content Count: 2187 Joined: 06/28/09 Status: Offline Share Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) lol sorry regionals, ill sum it up even more since you don't understand. Fuhjyyu caps are the ones used in Raidmax and Antec and some other Power Supply manufacturers, these caps come from a very poor quality country called China that produces very low grade products due to poor working conditions. You never went to go cheap on power supplies. Your power supply pretty much dictates your whole computer, you fuck up and buy a shit PSU, your whole computer is going to take the blame and parts can get fucked. Corsair uses capacitors from Japan and are much more highly respected by sites like jonnyguru, etc. If you own a Antec PSU after about 1-3 years, feel free to open it up and check out the caps, they will most likely have some nice brown goo on them Edited August 19, 2010 by Jazzyy Link to comment

Noobie Posted August 25, 2010 Content Count: 1 Joined: 08/25/10 Status: Offline Share Posted August 25, 2010 nonsense, you don't need 600 watts just for a 4650, a 4650 alone uses about 50 watts. You could live off a 250 watt psu. 650watts can power 2 5870s, i7 @ 4ghz, 12gb ram and like 10 harddrives. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182202 is a good power supply, same platform as the corsair vx450. It has a single 31 amp 12 v rail which could power a 5870 Link to comment
Spiffy Posted August 25, 2010 Content Count: 984 Joined: 08/20/09 Status: Offline Share Posted August 25, 2010 I really don't buy anything but Seasonic or Silverstone these days. It's not worth it to me to buy cheap PSU's anymore. Link to comment

I was going to get the Corsair 650TX for $100 but I figured why not spend the extra 16 dollars for more power and semi-modular cables. Link to comment
