All of the previous suggestions were very good. Here's some other's I think can be useful:

 

Enforce the servers rules, even the small ones. This will make you known as a good member.

 

Try to report rule breakers, this will most likely make you a trusted member.

 

Wear the correct SG Member tag which is: «SG.Mem»

 

Tell all your other friends to join SG steam groups and forums. Tell them that you referred them here.

 

Use ventrilo to know some people around here

 

Try to at least reach a regular status before applying. The tag in-game for regs are: «SG.Reg»

 

Check out GarfieldH's signature where all the SteamGamers groups are listed. Try to join as many as possible.

 

That's all I could think of now, but there's probably plenty of others

Hi, I'm thinking about applying for admin as soon as a can. Which will be in 59 days. So can anyone give me any advice that will boost my chances to getting accepted.

Applying for something like admin should be plane and simple.. your doing a job; like ur working. not that i'd know how being an admin would be.... but it seems pretty easy to understand and follow.

 

play the severs "a lot" don't use your powers unless called for; like if someones mic spamming and more then half of everyone in the game is angry about it or if the game is stuck in a glitch and a teleport or giving of knifes is needed (rarely im sure) and that sorta stuff other stuff too watching out for hackers, demoing them idk.. lots, its not my job so i can't detail it very well yyet but im sure it'll be like any other job someone can get them self's into you just do it like its your job, be on a lot being that helping when needed and if there's this really annoying hacker getting at you.. demo him and bam.. oh and most impotently above all don't use your given rights for own gain at player expanse or feeling of cheat

All what you said is true, but don't be afraid of fucking things up, for one for you get Basic Admin training, and Advanced... Just don't be scared of making a few mistakes I remember on my first day of being an admin, I got told that I did a shit job :L

 

But hey, you learn by your mistakes, just remember mistakes are good IF you don't do them again (In most cases)
