Tried it and switched from skype.

Been using Google Voice for ages now, it's nice to see it's "more open" now!

noticed this in gmail when I checked my email, nifty, maybe this means soon nobody will have to pay for cell phone service in a couple years. By cell phone service I mean calling, video calling and Net surfing is still going to cost money.

From what I read, calling is free for all domestic (US and Canada) calls, which would put it ahead of Skype. (Google did say it may not always be free, however. It depends on how much revenue they are getting from international calls.)
