I know some of the stuff is overkill, but im hoping that i can manage to get a few years out of this before i can no longer play games at acceptable frame rates. thanks for the input guys. it will ship whenever they start shipping, i guess tuesday. also getting a new monitor (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001389) and a new keyboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823175001). gonna put windows 7 on it. ill post some pics when it gets in. I know you said no advice but Saitak is asking for issues :/ its all good man, and i appreciate the advice. i am a little sad that i cant take it, because i placed the order before you posted. lol, oh well. spent about $2300 including peripherals and an ipod touch. 875W is WAY overboard haha yeah. but like i said, i want this new setup up to be feasible for a few years. when i built my current system with a 450W PS, it was overkill, back in 2003. now its nothing, and the same will eventually happen with this PS too. Overall performance are similar and from what I read better for gaming?!! And I never heard of that mobo brand... but what ever if things start cooking we'll find out ;) And youll regret that seitek I promise you that!! Link to comment
jazzy Posted September 6, 2010 Content Count: 2187 Joined: 06/28/09 Status: Offline Share Posted September 6, 2010 Although I hate Intel (fucked us over a lot with sockets), you shouldn't buy a Phenom II X6, they don't match up performance wise to Intel's i5 quad cores (or is it i3?). Don't bother buying parts and saying they are going to be used in 5-10 years, your warranty runs out after 2 and after that it eventually dies, making your high-end purchase useless. But you should stay atleast 600w> since you're running SLI + AMD cpu + a ssd + a hdd + a pci card. I'd recommend you get an extremely good case, you need amazingly good air flow for SLI'ing cards and you seem to have a lot of ram, they heat up rather quick. I recommend COOLERMASTERS or whatever, or Antec, they have alright cases. You should also get a buttload of fans! Link to comment
