You don't know who Navy and Maryland are? lol

I do, I was pointing out these teams are too crap to be considered anything that has to do with a play of the year. Not to mention its only week 1. lol

I don't think Navy is crap at all. That's a scary team for anyone to play at anytime. They should have beaten Maryland badly, but made way too many mistakes. Ricky Dobbs, their QB, is legit.

Plus, Maryland has had some good years in the past 10 years including an Orange Bowl appearance. Although, the team they have know wasn't all that impressive in Week 1. Not good since Ralph Friedgen is pretty much coaching this season for his job. But they won, so good for him.

Anyway, I agree, way too early for a Play of the Year.

Play of the Week, maybe.

Only time a team should be scared of navy is if your defense cant stop the option worth a shit. Which most good teams dont have a problem doing.

They only lost @ Ohio State (Rose Bowl Champion) last year by 4. lol

EDIT: Most good teams can't really stop the option. They contain it, but you don't really stop it. That's why Georgia Tech is so good. Navy's problem is defense. They lost most of their defense from last year.

You mean after Ohio St put in their 2nd and 3rd string? :p Navy had a good team that year, I wont deny that but not good enough. I wouldnt say Georiga Tech is good, they are good in their conference. The difference is, would georgia tech be able to beat Alabama or teams like that, that are in the top 10. The answer is unlikely they would, same with Navy. The option can always backfire and if a team can contain it or stop it then your fucked since most teams that run the option have little passing game.

Its the same for teams that do that wildcat shit, defenses were caught off guard the last couple of years because of shit like that but now they are learning how to contain it and even stop offenses like that more and more.
