So let's celebrate the genre with all its glorious elements; music, graffiti, beat boxing and dancing. But yeah, Hip-Hop kinda died with Biggie, Eazy and Pac. Eventhough 2001 by Dre wasn't bad, it was nothing compared to The Chronic. But I'm glad that we still have a few good rappers nowadays like The Game, AOTP, Immortal Technique and others. Link to comment

While a lot of mainstream is pretty gay; I think that a LOT of underground is really good. I really disagree with saying that rap is dead. Link to comment

Truth, I listen to very few mainstream artists, and mostly go towards underground because they are 90% of the time better. It's way too easy to just pick some gold skool stars and just proclaim that the end of a genre when they're gone. Hip-Hop has evolved a lot over the years, and yes, a lot of the contemporary mainstream sucks, but isn't that the case in most genres? Check out Gift of Gab, which I posted in the OP as well as Aesop Rock: ZEBGCOCxLgA And Akrobatik (song produced by J-Dilla, so might be cheating a little): 5ckZmckM9bI By the way, can you guys recommend some nice jazz-hop? Old or new skool, doesn't really matter. Link to comment
