I'd personally like it to not be limited to just news or politics, to be able debate or discuss literally anything, within forum rules of course, would be nice to have.

 

Politics is the most appropriate.

 

 

Also, we don't have a religion subsection for a reason, it's the same reason why conduct in N&P is moderated extensively compared to the rest of the forums.

Debates about philosophy, personal choices, ethics, health, whaling (yes, whaling), corporal punishment (in schools or for kids or w/e), civil disobedience, bio-ethics, this could be a number of things, age discrimination, the list goes on...

 

Most of this has and can be discussed in politics and news;

 

Philosophy: Usually undebatable since philosophy is so wide and infinite.

 

Personal choices: Why would you debate about your personal life and choices over the internet?

 

Ethics: Usually when you debate about other issues your ethics and morals show anyway depending on the subject.

 

Health: Who the fuck debates about health? lol

 

Whaling: This could be in news (If something recent on it) or politics since I know people dislike the Japanese for their part in illegal whaling.

 

Corporal Punishment: This was done when school teachers wanted to bring it back in a news article in the news forum.

 

Civil Disobedience: Why is this debatable? Follow the laws hippie.

 

Bio-ethics: Once again politics or news can cover this.

 

Age Discrimination: No drop, no talk.
