you first have to:

 

set cl_legacy_crosshair_scale to 1

 

then you can use cl_crosshairscale 8500

 

it's cuz of the new update or something

They made it so people who bitched about the new crosshairsize could go back to the way it used to be by typing something simple. I'm not sure how that is screwing shit up.
