if you're still looking, Altec Lansing VS2621 would probably be a nice pair of speakers

I do recommend going to your local music store (they should carry digital equipment in 2010 now) and checking their options, its handy to bring an audio cd, they should let you test it out on their speakers (if not dont worry about going to them any longer)
