Ronen Posted October 21, 2010 Content Count: 720 Joined: 03/10/10 Status: Offline Share Posted October 21, 2010 This is evil at it's prime. These teachers are making these mentally challenged kids pick up garbage to make the regular students feel guilty and stop leaving their trash on the floor simple as that... lol Link to comment

I've actually never heard of special classes for "special" kids in Finland, they go to a nearby special school always. Link to comment
Caution Posted October 21, 2010 Content Count: 11501 Joined: 10/19/08 Status: Offline Share Posted October 21, 2010 You're going to have a fun 3 days with your friends. When I'm not perming people or doing technical things with servers...I'M THE BEST TRASH PICKER UPPER EVER, tyvm. Don't you have a ghetto group of kids at your school? If so, they should pick up the trash as future job training. In all seriousness though, that is really messed up having the mentally challenged class being the ones to pick up everyone's trash. Is there any action the school is taking against the students for the littering? I know in my senior year, some people littered and did some really dumb stuff over the course of a few weeks and the principal removed a good chunk of our senior privileges. Long story short, we had enough people smart enough to help out and convince those slackers they weren't cool by leaving their trash around. Nope, nothing at all. The only time we get senior privileges taken away is for senior ditch day and for senior prank. Link to comment
Itch Posted October 21, 2010 Content Count: 3440 Joined: 12/12/07 Status: Offline Share Posted October 21, 2010 Your school is opening itself up for a shit-storm of bad press and potential law suits. I have a cousin with Down's Syndrome that had something similar happen. Both his parents and the rest of the "special needs" kids parents threatened law suit. It ended up in the news etc. The problem here is that rather than.. oh I don't know "teaching" these kids they are punishing them for something they didn't do. If they aren't capable of teaching these kids then the kids need to be at a school that is equipped to help them. This is just another example of a very bad administrative decision that punishes someone other than the guilty party. Link to comment
