Games aren't launching

So basically it's just games using hl2.exe?

Delete clientregistery.blob from your steam folder and then restart steam. If that doesn't work then remove everything except steam.exe and the folder named steamapps, then run steam.exe and let it update automatically. You won't have to reinstall your games because you'll still have them in your steamapps foldr.

As for the games basically using hl2.exe, i don't really know what you mean.

 

It's the process ran when you play css, hl2, tf2, l4d, etc. Check the task manager to see if hl2.exe even starts up when you try launching the games or if it does and then closes.

sounds like either:

 

1) an hl2.exe error

2)account verification error is commonly hand and hand with this. are you logged in somewhere else?

3)properly installed? probably the games are since they all do that. maybe steam....?

Well gotta get to reinstalling every game >.

Maybe if you'd be smarter and read my post then you wouldn't have had to reinstall every game.
