Recently my computer has been running weird. Whenever i play my games such as Resident evil 5 and Starcraft 2 and in the middle of the game my screen just turns fucked up. the grapics are messed up, there are lines all over my computer my mouse icons are fucked, just everything looks messed up. I thought it was my video card so i upgraded it to a gtx 240 but that didn't solve anything. so i got 1gb of ram and that didn't help to. i have no more idea's of what is causing this problem, does anyone know??

Your GPU may be artifacting, this can be caused by more than just a faulty gpu, run HWMonitor and check temps to make sure there is enough air going through.

Wow, going at 40 Celsius.. is there any way to make my cpu cool down?

A better cooling system, I would guess. Give it a peek and make sure it isn't caked with dust though.

If you're running SC2 and it happens, there is a patch to fix some problem where it doesn't limit the frames (so it runs at max and makes the GPU hot), or something.

Depending on your GPU 40c is actually pretty low if you're running games on an air cooled system. I run about +65c on air when I'm running demanding games like Crysis, but that's probably cause I don't have the GPU fan set up really high. One way to cool a Nvidia card down is to set the GPU fan higher through Nvidia Control panel.
