Yep.. that wouldn't have counted for shit.. except maybe a delay of game penalty. Link to comment

You can do that can't you? lol no you cant, although I'm unclear on lower league rules (Since I dont know how much of the rules they enforce in peewee football like this) but from middle school up a center cant move the ball off the ground unless the QB hikes it. In which case the defense knows when to jump, if the QB did hike it in this video and the defense didnt move I find that hard to believe since as a former defensive player something you learn is to play the ball and the QB's hike. So I am assuming he never hiked it, if this was a legal move don't you think you would see it done in college or pro football at least once in their histories? lol Plus the snap must go backwards behind the line of scrimmage if the ball is given from snapper to QB, such as being thrown back or rolled back if not a normal snap. This wasnt a legal snap by those standards, the only way it would have been legal for the ball not to go backwards is if it was a fumble which also wasnt the case in this video. It was probably legal in middle school football tbh. Link to comment

When I played middle school football the ref's were pretty strict about the ball when the center had it. I remember one game the ref threaten to throw a flag if our center moved the ball off the ground before the snap when he was turning it over for the snap. Link to comment
