awesomebillfromdawsonvile Posted November 18, 2010 Content Count: 444 Joined: 07/07/07 Status: Offline Share Posted November 18, 2010 Over time the players that made the game fun kinda dwindled off and they were replaced by asshole cts who wanted to win over actually having fun with other gamers. Pb is the most fun that Ive had with sg and nothing can replace it. TTT is fun but its nothing compared to pb, there is almost no structure and the only fun part is being a traitor. Pb is only as good as the people who play it. A rule should have been implemented that made the cts change the ts location at least twice a round. Without such a rule you leave it completely up to the player how much of a dick he or she feels like being. Theres nothing to stop them from ordering the ts into the big cage, and then leave them there for 5 min. Over time the better cts who knew how to make the game fun/fair for everyone kinda dwindled off. All that being said, dont take pb! It may need a little tweaking but its still got a chance. I think that jens rules left no wiggle room for the ts. I was pretty happy with her changes, but I think its semi clear that some shitty ts felt they had nothing to work with. Honestly I think no warning shots at all may have been a little severe. The biggest problem I had in the past was ppl bitching about every warning shot I gave them, and then asking for a reason why they were shot. The rule I would have put in place of no warning shots at all would read something like "If you get a warning shot, comply with orders given asap, QQ or ask for a reason and you will be executed" The major problem was QQ about warning shots, not the warning shots themselves. I know I know, anti QQ law? wtf bills a retard! Well maybe we just have them postpone the QQ until they have complied with orders, that may be a little more sane. And if at all possible, bring back jihad mod? I hated it with a passion, but it really seemed to draw ppl in, not sure why, but fools loved that shit. sorry for wall o text, have fun not reading it =) Link to comment

Pretty much every one of the servers seems to have dipped in population except MG. The only CSS servers we actually have are MG and ZE. I don't really call Surf one since nobody ever plays it, and it's just a bunch of jail campers. Link to comment

Morningafter Posted November 27, 2010 Content Count: 678 Joined: 05/20/09 Status: Offline Share Posted November 27, 2010 I still can't believe Pb just died. While I have been inactive for a few months bc ny'rs can't hold their liquor it still feels like just yesterday I was making fun of P3rg3s gf while "accidently" killing him in crossfire. It makes me cry Link to comment

Karnivor Posted November 29, 2010 Content Count: 701 Joined: 04/18/09 Status: Offline Share Posted November 29, 2010 1. Rule Changes over the last year, the PB rules have changed an ungodly amount of times, between allowing things, forbidding things, requiring things, ditching required things, it just doesnt make people want to play when the rules are going to change every few months. 2. Shit maps, I know PB now has a maplist of like 5 popular maps, but we went through a good 3-4 months of a server packed with shitty maps. 3. Admins. Sorry, but a lot of the admins I see on PB are complete tools, who only enforce the rules when it is effecting them. Sadly lack of admins is another point, with admins logging on for what 3 or 4 rounds, then leaving, the server gets filled with people who are enforcing rules with bullshit I never even thought possible. Seriously, if you ever manage to get a population into pb again, you need a new team of admins for it. 4. Jihad Mod. Where the fuck is it? 5. Jihad Mod again seriously was one of those things that could get a team of cowards to actually grow the testicular fortitude to rebel. 6. Player Base. Ill say this, yes a shitty one is better than none, but in the months leading to PBs death the player base of pb was full of trolls and griefers. Nothing more than kids living out power fantasy's online.... which seems to be a large trend on the internet but w.e 7. CSS. Yes, CSS is in its death throws, and the first things to go are the "cult" style minigames that have become full on mods. ZombieMod, Prison Break, Death Run, GunGame, all are slowly dwindling in player base and it is unlikely that anyone of them is going to magically make a comeback. The only truely popular servers I see in CSS anymore are DeathMatch, Minigames and Surf. Surf is fading slower than its friends but still fading. CSS is a thing of the past. Link to comment
