Any suggestions? I don't need brand spanking new, top-of-the-line, but pretty good cards at a decent price.

I have a 9600GT as it is, but I have to underclock it because the 9600's have some kind of issue when the clocks get pushed or something, and it black screens on me.

Obviously it'd be great to know your budget. One of the best budget cards on the market would be the new ATI Radeon 6870. Depending on the model, it runs anywhere from circa $230ish to $280ish.

I didn't list a price range specifically because, I wanted to look at any cards that are at a great price for their performance.

But, I did forget to mention I tend to stick towards Nvidia.

EVGA's most factory overclocked 460. Comparable to a 6870 and a lifetime warranty.

Almost as overclocked as the EVGA, with after burner you can hit over 900 mhz and still have really low temps.

Only beaten by 480/580/5970

Didn't list a 6870 cause everyone else already did -_-

Are the 460's good? As in, should it run most new games pretty well?

With my 9600gt I have to put everything on medium - low. Only thing I can put to medium usually is like textures or models, then shaders and shadows and water and everything has to be low on games like Crysis or BFBC2.

Metro 2033 on High settings/AAA 1650 X 1050 runs at 40fps.

BC2 1920 X 1080, Max settings 4xAA 16xAnti runs at 50-80 fps.

Basically the 460's kill anything underneath HD resolutions and do decently at 1920 X 1080 (this applies to the 6870/6850 as well)

I heard GTX 460 is amazing for the money, and I agree. For $200, it will play nearly every new game at almost all high (if not all high) settings, at any resolution. It's arguably one of the best designed cards by NVidia as well, as it's well priced, runs cool, and performs great.

I would recommend you get the 1GB version as well, it shouldn't cost much more than the 768MB version.
