Getting a laptop

Ok before everyone posts in this thread "get a desktop for gaming dumbass" I already know that, I'm getting this for college, and since im already getting a laptop i figured it should be a nice gaming one that can handle the newest games, aka black ops.

 

My only requirements is under 1500 and run games well. thats really about it. Im a noob when it comes to processors and hoped you guys could help.

I bought from the same guy as below for $1050, and there is an optional 2 year warranty.

They were like $1800 (for this version) last year, now they're significantly cheaper, and the one in your link is actually on par. Quality is very high, can play Crysis on High settings with 4 AA with no chugging.

 

 

 

EDIT: There are a couple differences with the one in your post, in yours there's 8GB of RAM as opposed to 4GB and the screen resoultion is 1900x1000 as opposed to 1600x900. Tbh, it looks fine to me and 8GB is overkill.

460M and 5870M are by all practical standards neck-and-neck in performance, but they are left in the dust by the 480M, as well as integrated SLI cards.

Just read some benchmarks and thats a great desktop replacement for that price broham. Just make sure your plugged into an outlet while your gaming

Yeah, but surprisingly this thing's battery has an 1-1/2 hour life span with the lights fully lit. Under full-load? It'd probably cut in half.

Oh for sure. If anything it's probably better than 90% of laptop batteries out there. My fucking dell xps on lowest lighting lasts for like 30 minutes (albeit after 2 replacement batteries).

Weird, when I browsed newegg the highest card that came up was the 460M in the power search, so i assumed it was the top notch card.
