Christmas presents

So I'm looking to buy something for each of my family. I've never really done this before...just relied on my parents so I feel like I should buy something good. I just secured a job so I've got a lot of disposable income.

 

For my dad...well his digital camera is out of date so I was thinking of getting him this

Of course it being a good price is a big reason, but it looks good generally anyway. I'd get a 8gb card with it so that's not a problem.

 

What I was going to ask is...do people think this is a good choice, or is there a better camera out around the same price (I'm willing to spend maybe £50 more if it's really going to make a difference and make it be a relevant camera for longer) It's only for general use such as events, parties, holidays etc so I don't need epic Batman equipment.

As for cameras - You should stick with the Cannon Powershots for a cheaper end camera that does really good.

That seems like the most obvious contender....though it is pricier and I'm unsure why.

I just got a Canon Powershot and it may be a bit more expensive but it's a lovely camera.

Whilst I'm at it I was going to buy a headset for my PS3.

 

I've had A LOT and they break too easily.....any suggestions on one that is easy to use, good quality and not so expensive that you expect a Russian lady with it?

I would reccomend nikon or canon as well, others tend to be random with quality, nikon and canon are pretty consistent and their lower end cameras are extremely good for being their low end.

My sis just got a nikon and I find it a little disappointing. I dont remember the model but the coolpix have awesome reviews so maybeh..

 

I like canon though never let me down.
