I use dual channel 2gb (800mhz) and it runs foobar + palemoon + steam + any game i usually play just fine. i have another 2gb stick that i mixmatch and it feels like performance drops and also the clockspeed needs to be adjusted to 667 due to the technically third stick being a lower set clockspeed. then that's your fault for mix-matching. The reality is that unless you are running at super high res with 8+ AA enabled, a GTX 460 will run anything you throw at it. As far as I can tell, until consoles move on to the next generation, no developers are going to me making a game that requires more than a 460 to max. Though if you are planning on that 3d on 3 screens at once thing, higher end cards may be what you need. Link to comment

If you want to play Crysis 2 when it comes out you'll at least need a Quad Core (I would recommend a phenom) http://www.scan.co.uk/products/amd-phenom-ii-x4-955-black-edition-sok-am3-32ghz-8mb-total-cache-retail Then get a compatible motherboard with DDR3 Ram compatibility, I would also try and get a motherboard with USB 3.0 support, and maybe SATA 6GB/s. Ram - around 4-6GB GPU - I would personally recommend the HD6950 - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-msi-hd-6950-pci-e-21-(x16)-5000mhz-gddr5-gpu-800mhz-1408-cores-dvi-mhdmi-mdp Your current specs wont run Crysis 2 very well, yes it's an accusation but one I'm sticking too. Be warned, it's going to cost around £600+ for a GOOD gaming computer. Link to comment
