Good Rates i could use/try out?

Well my ping is 500-600 and i'm getting kicked for high ping, anyone got any rates i could use?

 

Also any other ways to decrease ping will be nice too

That's called ping masking, I'd advise you to just stick to using these rates.

Try something like:

cl_interp 0.033

cl_interp_ratio 2

 

Unless you play on (some) bhop servers it's pointless to have your rates set for 100 tick servers.

Yeah go with spiral's, I forgot you don't bhop.

I live in England, Kent I've tried these and i'm getting 200-300 with 50 choke. Anyway you guys could tweak this to stop the choke?

What servers are you playing on?

 

If they have a high sv_maxrate, you can just keep raising your rate until your choke problem is gone. I use rate 40000 personally.

Thanks guys, i was just mucking around with my internet settings by typing your ip address into url bar. And i found this thing and it was g & b i decided to look at the scroll down option and found an "Auto 100mps" i just clicked that, rejoined the server and happily got 200 ping. I think if i mess around with cl_cmdrate and cl_updaterate and rate i'll get better ping.

Servers usually set limits, so I don't think you should have a problem setting higher defaults. Imo, I've experienced terribad hit registry with 25000 rate scrim servers.

 

Other issues with choke is because of servers not being able to handle the load. My old clan had that issue with their gungame server.
