downloading problem:

Soooooo.... CSS went all apeshit cuz i havent played CSS for a long time ( ps3, minecraft, sc2).... sooooo it wont let me download maps AT ALL....in the console i just get a whole bunch of error messages.... help me cuz i wanna play some CSS. I tried a few days ago and i got the same problem, but it was trying to download mako and since i hate mako so much i didnt care to post the problem. Also happy New Years. I hope you all got drunk.

 

ok it looks like im only having problem downloading some of the time...now it let me download it but before it didnt... still weird.

Well here's a few options:

 

Go into CS:S Options and go to Multiplayer tab and make sure the option that allows you to download content from server is enabled (it's a drop down menu thing)

 

Next if that doesn't work, exit CS:S and right click CS:S icon on Steam, go to Properties > Local Files tab > Verify Game Cache

 

If that doesn't work, you may need to reinstall CS:S! D:
