Coffee Crisp Posted February 3, 2011 Content Count: 4960 Joined: 06/20/07 Status: Offline Share Posted February 3, 2011 (edited) I used to have something like Spiffy's. I had a SteelSeries Siberia v2, it came with USB component and the sound quality (bass, etc) was pretty great. http://www.crunchgear.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/steel-001-620x413.jpg Right now I have Sennheiser PC350s. They're extremely great quality, but the skin seemed to tear away for me on sweaty days and prolong use. It's extremely comfortable though, and it has very little weight so I don't notice it's there except for when I look slightly bottom left because it has a huge ass military sized microphone that's great quality too. The only problem I have is with the Bass. It's a bit weak compared to the SteelSeries Siberia v2 which has all the features I've mentioned from the Sennheisers + a USB component (which the Sennhesiers lack if I remember correctly.) and instead of having a huge irremovable microphone, the Siberias have a microphone you can just push in and hide. The Siberia is pretty cheap imo. My Sennheisers were in the 200s so it's really up to you what you want. They're both great products and the companies behind them are pure quality albeit a bit money demanding. As for the keyboard, I have a Logitech G110. It's been extremely great so far. The macro keys are really cool and the custom colour key illumination looks really great at night time. The media controls mixed with iTunesKeys has worked well for me and the 'Game' toggle button (I believe) has kept me from getting tabbed out by my Windows Key countless times. You can switch profiles, custom key colours and keyboard macros, really quickly. There's a mute microphone and headset button but I don't use them as I think connecting your headset and mouse to the keyboard's USB ports and audio ports make them inferior. All in all it was well worth my money. Edited February 3, 2011 by Coffee Crisp Link to comment
Spiritwind Posted February 4, 2011 Content Count: 1263 Joined: 02/07/10 Status: Offline Share Posted February 4, 2011 I use the creative fatality headset and a Razor keyboard, never had any problems at all with both and the sound on the headset is nice. Here is the keyboard I got, I've had it about 5 months now and like I said, I have yet to have any problems at all. The only thing about the keyboard is the keys are off one way just a tad than a normal keyboard, so typing takes a few hours to get use to, however it feels much better for the standard wasd movement in games. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823114010&Tpk=RAZER%20Arctosa%20Silver%20USB%20Wired%20Standard%20Gaming%20Key Here are the headphones I got. I've gone through two pairs of these in the last 3 years, however both pairs I got were already used and slightly damaged and the only way I broke the first pair was by running over the cable with my office chair and it got tangled up inside and did some cord damage. Ive had the second pair for over a year and a half and it dosent look/sound any different than when I first got it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158082&cm_re=Creative_fatality-_-26-158-082-_-Product Keyboard : 44.99 Headset : 49.99 Each are less than half your budget =). Ive had 4 headsets of theirs each lasting about a year, their wires are weak and break and the plastic itself seems to fall apart and this is comming from someone who treats his shit well(have had my keyboard for 5 years). Also I really need a cord that can take a beating =\ I am very clumsy Edited February 4, 2011 by Ronen Link to comment

This! Also had trouble with the mic. On topic, I have a Steelserires Siberia v2 headset with the USB sound card, it works very good. Keyboard is G19, because I can. I can recommend both, though I don't know if you'd spend so much on a keyboard. Link to comment
