Tweezy Posted February 12, 2011 Content Count: 3791 Joined: 08/08/09 Status: Offline Share Posted February 12, 2011 I've got a quote to build a computer for someone under £250 that can be placed in a specific place, they are going to be re-using their keyboard mouse, speakers, monitor and DVD-RW drive, so this is what I've chosen; Coolmasters elite 100 case (It will fit in the designated place) Asus M4A78LT-M AMD Motherboard It will fit in the case won't it? From what I've read it should... 2GB DDR3 Ram Should be fine. AMD Athlon 3 cores Should be fine as well. Finally Samsung 160GB 2.5INCH HDD It says notebook, but it should work? basically, all I'm asking for is a double check to make sure everything is fine. Link to comment

The hdd is made for a notebook because it's so small, but fit's perfectly in that small case. A 250 pound computer is very... cheap xD Good luck! ;) 1 Link to comment

If the Case is M-ATX and the Mobo is M-ATX then it will fit (that's the form factor) As for the HD. Laptops netbook hard drives are 2.5", Desktop HD's are 3.5". It will work regardless but the only thing is fixing it down with screws etc. The case is built for 3.5" so you might as well just get the right size.. PS: Your friend is tight Link to comment

The case has to fit a specific place, thats why it's a Mini-ITX Case. Link to comment
