There will be multiple versions of any new skin we develop, and you can choose the one you like. The bottom-line is, there is no way I can be able to make everybody happy.

It's something I would like to address. I want the members to focus on gaming...and do not want them to share the load, when we can generate the revenue from elsewhere. I'm not really sure, but we'll discuss and decide next week. More or less, we won't change the system....

I think new skin is good think for the community.

Oh no..we are not using either of these skins. They've been designed for different forums.

If Amit does manage more than just one community (which I hope isn't true), then I hope we don't have mixed priorities.

 

I used to be apart of a forum who "sold out" temporarily. They had given the forum away to company who had managed 8 other communities, and had chose not to help solve any problems we suffered.

 

This ended up in the forum losing 90% of their members and unique traffic, until recently when the forums were taken back by the old owner.

 

Let's just hope that doesn't play out here.

Amit, In one of your previous posts you mentioned something about branching out. Just for clarification is the SteamGamers community going to turn into some sort of all inclusive gaming community where we support every game under the sun and have a greater diversity of players? Also are you planning to turn the forums into a "G" audience setting?

I just want to say that I'm happy with the explanations you've given us Amit and I am glad you are answering questions upfront. Also I visited "Mike's" Site and I like the work he does, I wish the best to everyone.

I manage multiple forums....

 

As for your example, if someone invested a good sum of money on a forum, and let it die....then he/she must be idiots with money to waste. I'm not like that. I am neither rich, nor stupid. And I value my investments.....and will not like to spend a penny unless I have a plan and confidence in the project.

 

I see myself as a facilitator...rather than admin/owner. I provide a platform for you guys to run SG .... while I oversee the long-term planning for the community.
