Specifically though, is there a set plan yet for the separation of Server side administrators to web admins? I look at it this way - There will be an Official Server Team for SG . Select members with lots of experience in dealing with servers will be appointed in it. It'll be a small and powerful team which will be the backbone of the server-side of this community. They'll be the official representative of SG who can help invite new players. There will be a forum moderation team as well....who will also have server admin permissions. Finally, there will be server admins as usual. I hope I'm clear enough. Please know that these are tentative plans, and nothing is finalized until we discuss it with the staff and members in the coming few weeks. Link to comment

It would be disrespectful on my part if I do that..... If and when we implement a new system, it'll probably be renaming the usergroup , merging/moving ranks, reassigning permissions and stuff. But any member who has a rank due to his/her contribution to SG, will retain the position. It's just that the name of the rank will change to make more sense..... 3 Link to comment

I just wanna say that I think being bought was an excellent move, SG is losing popularity because CSS just isnt the same (albeit, PB can get 24/24 now woop woop). When Blargh first posted your test forum http://www.fullyillustrated.com/clie...fuse/GT/GT.htm I couldn't believe how much this looked like the exact vision I imagined in a good gaming website. If we can go to something like that in VB4 with a little bit of SG's green flare, I'll be on the forums way more often. Secondly, I have some questions about the actual changes that are being done. I know you guys have stated nothing major is going to change, but I disagree, it should change. Firstly with the admin system. Admins are great, they keep the servers clean of retards, but the problem is half the admins are inactive/don't do shit. I think cuts to all the admin ranks should be made so that it isn't a clusterfuck of people who just want to be immune to mutes/have reserve slots. As for servers, what new servers are you planning for the games we're already in like CSS/Gmod/Minecraft? I think we have enough in all of them at the moment since the addition of gungame. Also, what new games were you planning to get servers for, if any? Thirdly, I don't mind adverts, as long as they aren't pop-up windows on the site. I mean its good for you guys to make money, meaning the player base doesn't have to pay as much for their servers. Second part of adverts, is how will we advertise SG itself besides being on your list of domains in channel fuse? We are the first gaming community on there (second gaming forum). Garf's idea for youtube was well intentioned, but not the right idea, in my opinion. I would love to oraganize an actual channel that features our players gamplay/commentary (SteamGamersMedia) integrated into the new site or channel fuse itself. Anyways thanks for taking your time and answering everyones questions, I know everyone is skeptical, but I think this change is going to help revitalize SG in a big way. 7 Link to comment

We have a fuckin' awesome designer... and he's doing the new skin for SG. We also have a new homepage layout/CMS in plan.....
