Ámber Posted March 3, 2011 Content Count: 664 Joined: 05/26/10 Status: Offline Share Posted March 3, 2011 I would really like to see a rule along the lines of "if you have to break something (like a wall for example) to get in an area, then that area is auto kill, or you can be autokilled for breaking said wall. I got in a real annoying argument with a buddy over the definition of what a vent is, and I would really like a rule to clear this up. Well thats good but we should just define places better, instead of saying "places you can break" Since: - Scout Tower ( Lego / Space Jail ) - Big box in big cage ( Space Jail ) - Pool vent ( Space Jail ) - Top of cells - Secret area soccer hallway/kitchen ( Space Jail ) Places like that, you dont have to break anything to get.. So by defining places "you need to break" before getting in not clearly good enought is. We should define it better like : AutoKill Area's: - Vents - Scout Tower - Armory - Catwalks ( Leading towards armory ( or if a CT calls the other catwalks in aswell ) ) - Teleport locations ( Like : Vending machine Karnage ) All the other area's are bullshit, Since those places dont mean any harm in my eyes, Like the big box in SpaceJail, where you can hide in... SO WHAT?!?! Theres not a single gun in and basically you waisted your time to get in there if you dont have an gun.. Same as the rule with the pistol.. People still dont seem to understand it.. A primary = Autokill ( IF they didnt picked it up automaticly since a buddy died ) This has to be put in like so, since I've seen loads and loads of time things happen like so: "CT: All go to big cage, 3box rule ( both sides ) no detours no delays, No jumping No standing still." On the way there, a CT got killed and the T is able to hide between his buddies within the big cage, the following happening will take place: "A CT is able to get clear shot on him and kills him, the primary drops on the floor and got autopicked up by an T, ** On this moment WAR happends, all the CT's are killing everybody that autopicked up the primary** " C'MON give them atleast the time to drop it, We have to get clear on those rules, Same as: -Nades -secondary The rule cleary says : Holsterd secondary are required a warning shot, Fine by me....but people dont seem to understand it, since they think "I say no guns, so im allowed to kill him" Also with the nade, people siriously got killed for holding a nade on their belt, which the CT get away with , with saying " I said no weapons/guns" Since when is a nade a gun.... In some special cases I see the CT's forcing the people to stop that hold a nade and let them throw it towards an clear section.. But what else... Dont kill us for that.. Otherwise, GTFO.. be boring let us go to soccer and force us not to pick up an knife:mad2: Some more things that has to be cleared out: - If they order you to crouch and you crouch jump - Running with your knife towards an CT If they order you to crouch and you crouch jump Hard hard, since the order was crouch but basically.. crouch jump if still crouch. People do get shot/killed for these things... Running with your knife towards an CT Give a bloody warning shot "IF THERE WAS AN ORDER" ( reason : ignorning the order ) People siriously do get killed for either running with the knife towards CT's ( even on freeday ) or getting instant killed for disobaying the rules ( Reason : rebellion action )That with the knife is bullshit since they say " ya uhm, I killed him since he TRIED to knife... SO ? First of all he didnt hit you did he? 2nd, warning shots since he did nothing wrong yet" And yea... If you dont follow the order, there is an possible way that you're trying to rebel ( fine this is an rebellion action ) But if you orders us "all go to pool no detours no delays be in the water crouch there no jumping" ** Good order btw ** But if we start jumping you CANT instant kill us and then start saying "Rebellion action" We are going to the location but we jump, so no rebellion actions there so that requires a warning shot... That was it kinda what I tried to explain, we need to be clear about these rules.. Dont forget that our PB is way diffrent then all the other regular PB's. ___________________ Tl;dr version : We need to be clear about these rules ( Some explainings in the longer version ) since, we have an huge amount of issues with things are just not cleared out enought.. Or we're getitng issues with , yes vent is auto kill ( YO NOOB vent rule isnt on MOTD ) so yes ... we got to get these things cleared up. EDIT: Yeah... I have no clue who you are, so keep hating. I can't count the number of CTs I killed by going in that box, there are weapons in the cells and it's VERY easy to kill people from that box. and... Link to comment

In the Space Jail map there are: - No guns in the secret box - Only 1 gun in the cells - One entrance to Vent in cells - One pistol in VIP. So wth? Link to comment

Then 1 T picks up an M4 that 1 CT dropped and joins you in the box, he can kill the rest of the team. I can understand why people autokill in secret box. Link to comment

I mean, seriously? Look at the MOTD, there's a lot of unsued space in that, we can write smaller, make it two columns large and cut in the surrounding design. Even tho I think it would be hard to define EVERYTHING in an absolute accurate way, there is plenty of space for more information. 1 Link to comment

There are always admins on the PB server, maybe not 24/7, but they're on. New Maps I definitely support this, new maps could be better for the population. Link to comment

New Maps I'm not talking getting some newly created maps, but maybe just change up the ones we have on there. We got Karnage and Water Prison not to long ago, but there are some maps on there that have been there for years and it's time for them to go. I know a few people here or there may love the very old maps, but I believe the general consensus on the old maps is that they need to go. We need a map clean out and to supplement some new maps for testing. Last time I went to search out new maps, FPSbanana was down. I think that there needs to be a discussion about certain maps and the way CT's have a habit of playing and if we want that to stay on, see Alcatraz and its camping. There are a lot of maps, but really only about 5 are played and some of those I find poor maps to play on based more on CT habits rather than the map itself and I think how the CT's play a map should count towards the quality. It is one of the reasons I don't like Lego, there are very few things for CT's to do that aren't just sitting around because the map is based on death games, as an example. 2. Admin Presence Now I'm not going to say I don't appreciate the admin presence that is already at PB daily, but I was thinking more along the lines of a PB regular possibly being looked at for admin. I believe that we need someone who goes to PB on a regular basis rather than an admin that goes there after stopping at minigames, gg, and other servers. The amount of freekills, rule breaking, and general annoyance is at an all time high on PB. Having someone who's there more often then not may be what we need. Honestly, and this sounds much worse than it is, being a pretty active PB admin, there aren't many regs I would want to have the powers of admin. Many of the current PB admins are still very unsure of certain rules and unwritten rules about how certain things are done to maintain a semblance of order on the server. I think that there needs to be a PB specific training course for admins, (I would be more than happy to go through the common commands for PB and things to watch for/ common ban lengths for issues with them if need be). Honestly, you can toss out some names, but I can't think of a reg that jumps to mind as someone I would want as a PB admin, save ex-admins like Karnivor and Hackerz. 3. Jihad Mod Some people hate it, some people love it. Some admins enable it, some disable it. We need to make a complete decision. Enough with this console command crap, either scrap it or add it back in fully. CTs and Ts alike need to know if Jihad is a legitimate usable strategy round to round rather than day to day. I personally think it is a way to let less experienced players not do well for a few rounds then blow someone up and it is funny, but for the most part I just think it makes a lot of the CT's far too timid and it disrupts the flow of the game. Not a big deal, but it is a leading reason why a lot of CT's are pussies. 4. Muting T's I think it's time we go back to the old idea that was used in years past where the Ts were muted for the opening thirty seconds of the round. The amount of screaming about freekills and dissing drowns out the commands and it eventually turns the server into a round after round freeday. It's annoying. I don't like the idea of muting them at the beginning of the round, but I do support re-adding the idea of muting any dead players except admins so that we can actually play and orders can be heard without dead people shouting about free kills and mothers and whatever else they like to talk about on PB. 5. Skins I know this isn't really talked about much, but how about some new skins? Freshen up the look of the T's and possibly the CTs. The medic skin is nice and all, but why not let us have some choices? I honestly don't think skins matter, they are purely aesthetic and don't do jack shit. Oh well, not my cup of tea. 6. Revamp the rules I know that the SG MOTD on all servers was redone not too long ago. But the PB rules seem very disorganized and put together in a hurry. I think we need a little bit of a makeover for the rules section on the PB MOTD. This has already been talked about and I believe Charles is looking to implement some of the rules Jen came up with in her other thread and actually make a nice MOTD. Although, I think there should be a PB meeting to decide all the rules and such before we take the time to make a new MOTD, just my thought though. Well that's all I have for now. Most of them should be considered common sence. I mean, think as if it was a real prison. Do you seriously believe the guards wouldn't mind if you were crouching around in the ventilation systems?
