My problem is the following, I run evrything smoothly but as soon as I play a game and I mean like any game ranging from civ 4 to shogun 2 I experience slowness and lagg and stuttering and hell what more. I can't even play an online flash game properly without it slowing down to a point where a mouse click registers and get executed by the program about 5 secs later. I tried so much strolled the internet (the forums included) and nothing has helped so far. I've had this pc for a long time now and though it isn't near anything perfect, it was always capable of playing non-intensive games like civ 4, cstrike and css. But frankly as of late all went down the sinkhole I reinstalled windows got the correct drivers and nothing has changed whatsoever I really hope you guys can help me out caus I simply miss playing a game of zombie escape or even ttt without lagging like fucking ducks on motorcycles. This is my setup: MOBO: Intel Grantsdale i915P CPU: Intel Pentium 4 630, 3000MHz 15 X 200 RAM: 1024MB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT 1024 RAM HDD: 1 --> 75000MB (contains my OS) 2 --> 20000MB (Contains Steam and other Apps) Should I have forgotten something just reply or PM, please I'm growing nuts for this has been such a fucking pain for to long Regards Delta Link to comment

If you are going to buy a pre-built system, get these; http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ShowSystem.asp?SystemID=1122 ^ Should do you just fine. Building a computer is actually quite easy once you know what you're doing, the first every computer I made I had to end up screwing the motherboard out twice because I forgot to put other stuff in first... If you are interested in building your first computer, there some some great tutorials on google. Link to comment

This is the exact reason why you have a ton of people out there who built their own computer or had a friend build it for them and don't have anyone to fix the problems. Building a computer is not as simple as knowing how to put the pieces together! You have to know how to troubleshoot the problems when they occur too! 1 Link to comment

Thanks for the link Tweezy I didn't suspect to find site where you can configure your own pc. I'l let you guys know If you have any backup on lengthening the life of my current pc then by all means ;) Link to comment

I know that, but wanting to BUY a good gaming PC for €800 is quite hard, I just put the build your own as a option, doesn't mean he has to take it. Link to comment

Very nice build, are there any other options for a different motherboard, i would seriously recommend going with DDR3 memory, cheaper AND a lot better. Other then that, very nice build.
