Ultramarine Posted March 25, 2011 Content Count: 1082 Joined: 04/23/09 Status: Offline Share Posted March 25, 2011 It would have helped if you could hear them call the plays Ya.. the guys adopted pseudo-sign language to tell me what play we were running so i always knew what the play was and what i needed to do. The Coach literally didnt let me play simply because of my deafness, he pretty much told me that he couldnt trust a Deaf player... for whatever fucked up reasons he had. The Year before i played on the town team, was Starter Defensive End and special teams (Kick, punt, returns, etc). Played every game with no problems, with my helmet having quiet a large amount of stickers for shit done (5 tackles in a game, fumble recoveries, etc). It's the same story for Baseball, loved the sport, played first base for a few years with a coach i had, we came in 2nd place in the championship for our division. Later on, i get a new coach, guy doesnt trust me because im deaf, puts me out into outfield, my worst position. I kept telling the coach that Outfields my worst spot and that i play First base, hell my old coach came over one time and asked why was i in out field and told my new coach that i should be on first base. Same thing happened up to high school, when i pretty much said "Fuck it" due to all the shitty coaches. Assholes didnt even give me a chance to demonstrate my abilities at first base, Not even in fuckin practices. Link to comment

I was REALLY good at Defensive Tackle but sucked on the offensive line. I'm 6'3'' and i played line on both sides Link to comment

Allthough, would be awesome to try it out at some point. Untill then, I guess it's just Football : / Link to comment
