Dream Configuration for new system

I plan to join you guys on CSS from next month onwards. Now, I cannot play on my Mac or the laptops, since those are configured for work. So, I'll be buying a new PC for gaming and other stuff.

 

So, plz suggest me your dream configuration for a PC I should opt for.....

 

How is this Alienware @ Dell ? Or am I better off with an assembled system ? Price won't matter since I'm most likely to take it on credit and pay over a period of many many months ( including a few defaults on payment )

I dont know why people are obsessed with the six core crap. Read on the internet. Yea gaming wise they will be close but anything else the i7 or i5 are superior. To improve your gaming experience you need a good GPU and thats a whole other story.

If you want a laptop, the G73 is a workhorse for only $1200. Otherwise, we have like 30 models people have pieced together in older threads, the only thing you'd have to change is the gpu from say **70 radeon or *60 Nvidia to the latest models.

the 6950 is a good GPU, as i stated if he doesn't like it or want to change some shit, he could.

 

it's not like i said that he has to buy the rig i put together for him.

 

 

he said he'll pay it with monthly payment, so $1156 is a good price, but geez don't go over the top and put a system together worth over $2000, that he has to pay off for months to come.

 

Amit asked us to put something together, don't like it, put something else together and leave this thread open to suggestions and not whining like little kiddies.

My budget is ~3.5-4k , since it's going to be a one-off buy....and I will not be looking to upgrade the system for the next 1-2 yrs.. As I said, I'll be paying this is very easy installments, so it wont hurt my pocket. Prices for the components are very similar in India to what they are in the west....so, please take this ballpark figure and suggest a PC configuration.
