I tried to search for a thread about this already, so I apologize if I failed at finding one. I'm also unsure if I should have put this here or in a rule discussion thread, so again I apologize if I'm posting in the wrong place.

Are CTs allowed to give orders like "If you get within 5 feet of me, I'll open fire"? How much is five/ten/whatever feet in CSS?

I ask because we've got one CT that the past few days has given this order, and when he's running around he has shot at people he's past before. How is it my fault if I come running out of my cell when he runs by and happen to be within five feet, if I don't know that he's running by?

my view on this is if your so worried that you will get knifed as a ct then dont be on ct

and typically if you are within knifing distance of a t your baiting and if they approach you then just run away

I don't think they can give this rule but I might be wrong. Actually, I probably am so don't listen to me. It just seems like it would start some mass RDM or something.

"CT's cannot enforce the same orders round after round"

Even if they could issue that as an order it seems like after one or two rounds they wouldn't be able to enforce it

"CT's must give reasonable orders..."

This may just be me but I don't find not being able to be within 5 ft of someone just because they are afraid a reasonable order

Just expressing my opinion

Also based on this rule about reasonable orders is it reasonable to have T's freeze including not being able to move my mouse or continually jump?

This isn't TTT ;)

But on topic: In my opinion, a CT shouldn't be allowed to do that, but can instead make a rule similar to the "No past 1st cell" rule, if he is so afraid to get knifed.

As you quoted of our rules. There's no point in freezing unless there's a purpose by doing this. I mean, this order can be said for example if they want more control in what's hapenning or if they do a quik pistol check.

If you are giving orders you will probably tell them to go somewhere, just say "no detours/delays" and they can't run towards you...... unless you're stupid.

But in your particular situation I would think that the order on its own is okay, but the fact that he was effectively blocking you with that order shouldn't be accepted.

Ok thanks because I know some CT's who give ridiculous orders and will have you jump for like 30 seconds and just kill you if you stop
