Captain Colon Posted May 16, 2008 Content Count: 670 Joined: 02/14/08 Status: Offline Share Posted May 16, 2008 The upside here is that the developers have listened to the public and have changed the DRM on the game (for Spore and Mass Effect). I believe you have to activate the product, and then you can reinstall 3 more times. No more 10 day limit. Better? a little but not much. Not really. Bioshock had TONS of issues with that system...can't install it on multiple computers of your own, if you have to reinstall windows you have to use up another one of your installs if you didn't uninstall it first (and even if you did, the system was bugged when it first came out and wouldn't credit you with another install when you uninstalled it). What kind of PC will you need to run the game anyway? Considering it lagged at some points on the 360 it seems like you'd need some pretty beastly hardware. Link to comment

Their ridiculous system is indeed overreaching and obnoxious to legitimate customers, however, the 10 day limit was removed and they increased to number of computers from 3 to 10. Thats not to say I'm happy about the DRM, it could have been worse though, It could have been Starforce, that crap will DESTROY your hardware. As for Bioshock, with the details jacked up, It could cripple some systems. A great deal of customers paid no attention to the SMshader requirement though. I wasn't privy to the DX10 experience, but at the time I had 2gb ram, and a Radeon 1950pro, the game ran quite well. Link to comment

Sometimes I enjoy console games just because I don't have to mess with this crap, just pop it in and go. As a side note, I have Mass Effect for the 360 and I have to say this is easily the best game/trilogy the 360 will have. Quite simply amazing in every way. Link to comment
