Yea, I mean for an IPS panel 6ms is pretty amazing (average being 14ms+), but I have read many disappointments with this monitor =(

so I guess I'm looking for a Monitor 1920X1200, less than 8ms, 23"-28", with a budget of 500$ lol

Pretty much every statistic except resolution is utter bullshit on flatpanels because there's no real standards on how to test, or ANY accountability when bullshitting tests or massaging the numbers. I would trust an IPS panel claiming 6ms more than a TN (read: shitty) panel claiming 2ms.

If you actually care about response time get a CRT, otherwise get a quality panel.

I'm thinking the same thing... Currently I play on a crappy Samsung monitor

Amazon.com: Samsung LN-T2332H 23" HDTV w/Integrated ATSC Tuner: Electronics

And I rape and have no problems in crysis 2 which I would assume is where you would want to take advantage of response time?

being 8ms response time. If anyone can confirm that'd be cool...

Thanks for the advice

Newegg.com - LG E2360V-PN Glossy Black 23" 1080p 5ms Full HD LED BackLight LCD Monitor Slim Design 250cd/m2 DC 5,000,000:1

is decent and is something I'd buy. I'd also look at all the monitors Zealot recommended. In my opinion, it isn't worth it to spend over $300 for a 1920x1080(or 1200) monitor nowadays. Around $200-250 is a reasonable price. Any less and it's from the previous generation of monitors.

As for the Dell monitor you initially mentioned, it carries a premium because of its "accurate color display" and that is something I don't have first-hand knowledge of. I don't think you'd need it unless you're really interested in art and photography.

Ignore marketing propaganda.

yardy, i agree with you on go for an asus monitor

i have the asus MS202N and absolutely love it

but considering response time, dont really worry about, 5-8 will be perfectly fine, going down to a 2-3 is pointless, you just pay more for a difference that you cant even register
