But if you want 1 of the best available it still is the 5970, it costs a lot, but it's worth it and it's even better then the GTX580. Seeing as you want to get 2 cards, if you go for the 5970, you don't need 2 of those then, but the 5970 costs as much as 2 GTX580, tho, since it a dual-GPU card. but seeing as it costs over $900, you should buy a 6990 or a GTX590 or 2 GTX580. Xfire 5870's is killer overboard for any new generation games and it will still be beast in the next few years. Absoulutely no clue why you want to upgrade, give me those spare cards then? 2 580's is over 1k if you got cash and no brains go for it. Its not worth it all. If youy must upgrade get 2 6950's which is about the same price as a 580, the 6900 series scales extremely well and its cheap. Crysis 2 is not as graphically intensive as you think, theres a major problem (especially on AMD/ati) with multiple gpu's that they are still working on. Also you guys talking bout these huge ass expensive cards, you won't get your moneys worth unless your running multi-display. 1 Link to comment
Chaoz` Posted April 29, 2011 Content Count: 1740 Joined: 04/04/10 Status: Offline Share Posted April 29, 2011 Crysis 2 isn't that intensive at all, i can play it on high with my 4870 at max resolution of 1920x1080, no lagg whatsoever. if i were you i'd just stick with the 5870, or if you really want to upgrade go for a 6990 or 2 6950, they're just about the same thing.
