"Missing Map" Error

Sup Jizzy here,

 

So ive just recieved my new laptop back and now i've got a little problem, when i join Deathrun sometimes (very often) i get the "missing Map" error.

 

Its not just on the SG server its also on another server but i dont know why this is happening (actuatlly most of the times its another server one for NL) So my question is how to help this get away do i have 2 download all those maps so i don't get it anymore or is there an easier way?

Do you get it on every map, or some certain maps only?

Delete the map(s) that is giving the error(s) in the maps folder (I hope you know where this is, if not it should be in the steam>ureusername>cstrike>maps or something like that). Then re-download from the servers fast download in game, or from a website.

 

If the maps aren't already in your folder then idk what it is.

The error you are getting can be caused by client and server side errors;

 

Client - Do what Drox said.

cl_downloadfilter all

 

Server Side;

max download limit is still set to default

Fast download server is down.

on that other server like every map, but on SG just a few like 2 maps or something.

Uh, for giggles, could you tell us what cl_downloadfilter is set to? Since they're not in your map folder, it means, quite literally, you're missing them and it can't upload it to you.

How can i see what its set to?

Open your console and type cl_downloadfilter and press enter
