Seriously, the only way is to shoot him, which will inevitably involve killing non-rebels in the process, or dying. Or is there some crossfire rule that makes it okay to shoot, because people have been whining about this all day long. Link to comment

Crossfire happens, we usually don't punish for it if it was a mistake. Link to comment

jazzy Posted June 9, 2011 Content Count: 2184 Joined: 06/28/09 Status: Offline Share Posted June 9, 2011 shoot to kill, doesn't matter. it's TK in my book by the guy using a friendly meatshield i mean it'd be no different if someone snitched you out, they are basically putting you in the position where you can/will be killed. you should try to remain active in the game and be aware if someone going to pull that an avoid them, besides, if you see a friendly T with a pistol on his hip you should avoid him anyway just in the event of huge amounts of crossfire hitting you directly in the temple Link to comment

themuffinman Posted June 9, 2011 Content Count: 421 Joined: 03/04/10 Status: Offline Share Posted June 9, 2011 if there is no way to get a clear shot then just shoot through them, if they bitch about freekill then tell them it wasnt freekill, it was crossfire, or apologize right after it happens, like say "sorry 'whoever got killed in crossfire' you got caught in crossfire", many people will understand that it happens, but there will also be those people that cant wrap the concept of crossfire around their tiny brains and keep crying freekill, and they usually forget about it after a while or rage quit to really sum things up, crossfire happens, if people cant accept it they can fuck off =] Link to comment

The only time this is difficult really is with a shotgun. You can usually kill the guy behind easily and maybe get a shot on the person being a shield. I do not recommend you just open fire because in some cases those people are purposely being shields. Take solitary for example, some people are very close together and it wouldn't be fair to kill someone even though it may be crossfire. So do not spray and "open fire" I would say. The best idea would be to try and take that person out first and avoid the meatshield. Link to comment

Neither do I but perhaps mine was less clear than I would have like to have it I prefer to use short controlled bursts to stay accurate but if you are purposely using yourself as a shield for someone else than perhaps you need to get shot Link to comment

Just saying for future reference I would suggest that you still just make sure you aren't freekilling. There is a difference between crossfire and freekilling. If you are trying to kill the person and you kill the other walking in front that is one thing but if you just blatantly open fire on all around that is freekilling and you can't claim crossfire.
